Ordering a Dress

During your appointment, we will help you select the perfect style, color, fabric, and size for your gown. Because all of our dresses are made to order, a 50% deposit is required at the time of purchase. This non-refundable deposit allows us to place a custom order with the designer and protects our small business from financial loss in the event of any changes to your bridal plans.

Sizing

The size we order for your dress will be determined during your appointment. At that time, we’ll take your measurements and use our expertise to select the best size based on the designer, their size chart, and the gown’s construction. With over a decade of experience in fitting wedding dresses, we know how to choose the size that will lead to the best possible result for your big day. Our goal is to make sure you look and feel absolutely amazing!

Alterations

We offer full in-house alterations to ensure your gown fits perfectly.Alterations are a separate cost and can vary significantly depending on the work needed and whether you’d like us to create any custom details or one-of-a-kind accessories.

For a general idea of pricing, please refer to our alterations price list.If you have questions about custom work or want to explore creative options, feel free to text us — we’re happy to help!

Delivery

Wedding dresses typically take about 3–5 months to be made and delivered to our shop. We generally begin alterations 2–3 months before your wedding to ensure the perfect fit.

That said, some gowns can arrive on a much shorter timeline — so if you're a last-minute bride, don’t worry! We’re experienced in working with tighter schedules and will do everything we can to make it happen.

Return Policy

As mentioned above, wedding dresses are special orders. All sales are final — no exchanges or refunds, no exceptions.

If we do not hear from you and your original wedding or wear date has passed, we may need to find a new home for your dress. Due to limited storage space, we are unable to hold unclaimed dresses indefinitely.

If merchandise is left unclaimed in the boutique for 30 days or more after your original wear date (unless prior arrangements have been made), the gown will become the property of The Dress and any payments made will be forfeited.
